A SYMBOL OF PROTECTION
This stunning armour is handmade out of water buffalo bone discs embroidered onto a natural fibre crochet west.
It comes from Toraja on the beautiful island Sulawesi in Indonesia.
In ancient times wests like this were worn by worriors during battles as a status symbol. Today they are used in traditional ceremonial dances.
