This Naga (dragon in Indonesian) bracelet is handmade in brass and is a traditional piece of jewelry from Borneo in Indonesia, worn for it’s believed strong magical powers.
It's encapsulated inside a black and gold coloured wooden frame with a white fabric base and cream coloured passe-partout.
The dragon biting its tail is an ancient symbol called Ouroboros.
It represents eternity and the infinite cycle of life, death and rebirth - leading up to immortality. It also represents what magically existed before any beginning and what will always last.
The Ouroboros have been important in religious and mythological symbolism and rites since ancient times.
