A SYMBOL OF SERVITUDE
This beautiful knife is handmade as per ancient techniques in Sandalwood, Brass and Steel, deriving from Bali, Indonesia. There knives like these have since ages been used by men during ceremonies on the left hip as a work tool and personal decoration.
It took the Balinese artisan 2 weeks to make this knife.
The Wendung knife is originally from Java and worn on occasions of the state by all chiefs when in the presence of the sovereign. It is carried in the palace as a symbol of servitude to the sultan for performing tasks such as cutting of shrubs or even the most humble work such as grass cutting.
It comes complete with a black metal stand and it's description printed out for you inside a beautiful envelope.
