The art of stone carving has been practiced and perfected on the island since the 8th - 9th century, producing some of the most spectacular statues in the world. Krishna is the god of protection, compassion, tenderness and love, one of the most important deities in Hinduism.
When depicted as a baby, he’s a symbol of joyous playfulness, the embodiment of all infant's innocence and the love that parents feel towards their babies. The legend says he was a very cute little prankster, here caught with his hands in a butter jar.
The statue comes complete on a black metal stand and its story printed out for you inside a beautiful envelope. Being artisan crafted, every piece is an original and slightly different, showcasing the stones natural beauty with organic imperfections.
