This dreamy set includes a set of 2 labe stone statues and a feather and shell necklace, complete with the blackened metal stands.

This necklace comes from Papua in Indonesia and is made out of rooster feathers and shells embroidered on to a natural fiber crochet base. It was a symbol of the bond between human and nature, used during big ceremonies. In several myths, the rooster has the power to revive the dead or to make a wish come true. It is considered sacred within the spiritual realm.

The labe stone statues were hand carved by local artisans on the island of Sumba in Indonesia, made as per ancient techniques. Labe means pumpkin in Indonesian.
Pumpkins are symbols of prosperity, growth, friendship and family, due to their resilient nature and the way that several fruits are connected through a vine which provides the pumpkins with nutrition from the ground. It’s believed that the pumpkin helps us create lasting, prosperous connections with others.

The suite comes complete on the black metal stands and the stories printed out for you inside a beautiful envelope. Being artisan crafted, every piece is an original and slightly different, showcasing the natural beauty of the materials with organic imperfections.  The handmade metal supports carry their own authenticity, with subtle imperfections, irregularities and the potential for a natural patina to emerge over time.
